Bruce Glaspey
Bruce Glaspey is the Division Manager for the Magruder, Southeast Concrete Division and the Magruder, Pervious Concrete Division. He is a noted professional in the Pervious Concrete Industry and comes highly recommended by Engineers and Contractors who have called upon him to handle the placement of Pervious Concrete on their jobs. Mr. Glaspey currently holds a NRMCA Craftsman Certification.
Mr. Glaspey has been at the forefront in developing the proper tools and construction methods for Pervious Concrete. The methods he developed for the Florida Concrete & Products Association (FC&PA) were published in their "Portland Cement Pervious Pavement" manual in 1987. Following this publication, the FC&PA has called on Mr. Glaspey to demonstrate his methods several times, including at INCON. Mr. Glaspey, and his crew, was also employed in the production of the FC&PA "Demonstration Video" published in 1990.
Mr. Glaspey also developed the specialized finish-rollers that are being used by most Industry Contractors. Even though the "Glaspey-Rollers" were not patented, nor mass-produced, they are still the Industry-Standard for the construction of Pervious Concrete Pavements.
Mr. Glaspey is a member of the American Concrete Institute's Committee 522 "Pervious Concrete", and has helped local, state and national promotional groups across the country in their training efforts for local contractors. Also, many of the tools, developed by Mr. Glaspey, are being used in the place & finish of Pervious Concrete today.
